Terms and Conditions for Exhibition Participation

Korea Trade Fairs Ltd., the organizer of the International Education & Career Fair Korea and the International Emigration & Investment Fair Korea, highly values the protection of users’ personal information and has established and strictly complies with this Privacy Policy. Korea Trade Fairs Ltd. also complies with all applicable laws and regulations relating to personal information protection, including the Personal Information Protection Guidelines enacted by the Ministry of Information and Communication of the Republic of Korea.

① Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information
The Company uses collected personal information for the following purposes:
•	Identity verification for service provision, confirmation of intent to use services, handling complaints and inquiries, and delivery of notices
•	Development and enhancement of new services, provision of advertising information such as events and promotions, analysis of access frequency, and statistics regarding users’ use of services
•	Provision of information to the Korea Exhibition Industry Promotion Association for exhibition statistics and verification related to the exhibition industry
•	Provision of free admission opportunities to exhibitions organized by Korea Trade Fairs Ltd., provision of exhibition-related information and event guidance services, and provision of newsletters and marketing information (including SNS and SMS) regarding future exhibitions
•	Provision of exhibition-related information, newsletters, and event information for exhibitions organized by Korea Trade Fairs Ltd., including the International Education & Career Fair Korea, International Emigration & Investment Fair Korea, and Korea Metal Week
•	Sharing schedules and information regarding future editions of exhibitions organized by Korea Trade Fairs Ltd.
•	User identification, prevention of unauthorized use of services, and delivery of notices and announcements
•	Provision of exhibition-related services, including verification of admission status
•	Improvement of existing services through surveys and analysis, including visit purposes and visitor routes
② Scope of Collection of Personal Information
Korea Trade Fairs Ltd. collects personal information with users’ consent through lawful and fair procedures. The Company provides a procedure through which users may click an “Agree” button regarding the collection and processing of personal information and related terms and conditions. By clicking the “Agree” button, the user shall be deemed to have consented to the collection of personal information.
Korea Trade Fairs Ltd. does not collect sensitive personal information that may infringe upon human rights. However, exceptions may apply where the user has provided lawful consent or where collection is required by applicable laws and regulations.

•	Optional Information: Fields of interest, countries of interest, age, visitor route, and related information
③ Use and Provision of Personal Information
Users’ personal information shall not be used or provided beyond the scope previously disclosed or specified without the user’s consent, except where otherwise required by applicable laws and regulations, including the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection.
Korea Trade Fairs Ltd. does not collect sensitive personal information that may infringe upon users’ fundamental rights, except where lawful consent has been obtained or where otherwise required by law.
Where personal information such as email addresses is inaccurate and adversely affects the quality of services, the website administrator may correct or delete such information.
④ Rights of Users and Legal Representatives and Methods of Exercising Such Rights
Users and their legal representatives may at any time review, correct, or request deletion of their registered personal information and the personal information of children under the age of fourteen (14).
Users may contact the Personal Information Manager by written request, telephone, or email (ktfairs@ktfairs.com), and the Company shall take prompt action without delay. If a user requests correction of errors in personal information, such information shall not be used or provided until the correction has been completed.
Personal information deleted or terminated at the request of the user or legal representative shall be processed in accordance with the “Retention and Use Period of Personal Information” section of this Policy and shall not be accessed or used for any other purpose.
⑤ Retention and Use Period of Personal Information
Personal information shall be retained and used until the purposes of collection and use have been fulfilled. If the data subject withdraws consent or requests to opt out of communications, the information shall be destroyed without delay.
However, where retention is required under applicable laws and regulations, the information shall be retained for the legally prescribed period and destroyed thereafter.

From the date of consent until the purposes of collection and use have been fulfilled.
Technical and Administrative Measures for Protection of Personal Information
Korea Trade Fairs Ltd. makes every effort to establish technical and administrative measures to prevent leakage of personal information. Access to personal information is restricted to a minimum number of employees, and continuous training regarding compliance with this Policy and personal information protection is conducted. In addition, administrator passwords are periodically updated to prevent unauthorized access and illegal disclosure of information.
⑥ Transmission of Advertising Information
Korea Trade Fairs Ltd. does not transmit advertising information for commercial purposes against the explicit refusal of the recipient. Mailing services and SMS/messenger notifications provided for improved services may include newsletters, event information, surveys, and promotional events. The Company provides users with an easy method to express refusal to receive such communications.
⑦ Procedures and Methods for Destruction of Personal Information
The Company shall promptly destroy personal information once the purpose of collection and use has been achieved.
Destruction Procedures:
Information entered by users shall, after the purpose has been fulfilled, be transferred to a separate database (or separate filing cabinet in the case of paper documents) and retained for a certain period in accordance with internal policies and applicable laws and regulations before being destroyed. Personal information transferred to a separate database shall not be used for any purpose other than retention required by law.
Destruction Methods:
•	Personal information stored in electronic file form shall be permanently deleted using technical methods that prevent restoration.
•	Personal information printed on paper shall be destroyed by shredding or incineration.
⑧ Installation, Operation, and Refusal of Automatic Personal Information Collection Devices
The Company operates cookies and similar technologies that store and retrieve users’ information from time to time. Cookies are small text files sent to users’ browsers by the server used to operate the websites of the International Education & Career Fair Korea, International Emigration & Investment Fair Korea, and affiliated websites, and are stored on users’ computer hard drives.
Purpose of Using Cookies:
•	Analysis of access frequency and visiting hours of members and non-members
•	Identification of users’ preferences and interests
•	Tracking user activities
•	Analysis of participation in events and visit frequency
•	Provision of targeted marketing and customized services
Users have the right to choose whether to accept cookies. Users may configure their web browser settings to allow all cookies, require confirmation whenever cookies are stored, or refuse all cookies.
Methods of Refusing Cookie Settings:
Users may refuse cookie settings by selecting options in their web browser settings to allow all cookies, prompt confirmation before saving cookies, or refuse all cookies.

However, refusal of cookie installation may result in difficulties in using certain services.

Consent to the Third-Party Provision of Personal Information

As a general principle, the Company shall not use users’ personal information beyond the scope disclosed to and agreed upon by the user, nor disclose such information to any third party without the user’s consent. However, in order to provide better services, the Company may provide personal information to third parties with the user’s consent as follows.
Recipients of Personal Information
1.	Creative MICE Co., Ltd.
(As a delegated registration service provider, information may be shared with this company for the smooth registration process and identity verification related to the Exhibition.)
2.	Korea Exhibition Industry Promotion Association
(Information may be shared with the relevant exhibition promotion association for exhibition certification and exhibition statistics for the development of the exhibition industry.)
3.	The International Education & Career Fair Korea / International Emigration & Investment Fair Korea (www.uhak2min.com) may mutually provide and share personal information and related usage information with its affiliated website, Korea Metal Week (www.korea-metal.com). Matters concerning such use shall be governed by the terms of use and privacy policy of each respective website.
Items of Personal Information Provided
Company name (organization), name, department, position, mobile phone number, contact number, fax number, postal code, email address, fields of interest, occupational classification, visitor route, and related information.
Purpose of Use of the Provided Information
•	Verification of visitor identity
•	Provision of exhibition-related information
•	Objective verification and statistical analysis of exhibitions
Retention and Use Period
Personal information shall be retained and used from the date of consent until the purpose of collection and use has been fulfilled.
When entering into outsourcing agreements, the Company specifies in written agreements, in accordance with Article 25 of the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea, matters relating to the prohibition of personal information processing for purposes other than the outsourced 업무, technical and administrative protection measures, restrictions on re-outsourcing, management and supervision of outsourced service providers, and liability for damages. The Company also supervises whether outsourced service providers process personal information safely and appropriately.

Right to Refuse Consent to Collection of Personal Information
1.	Users may refuse consent to the collection and use of the above personal information and may withdraw such consent at any time after providing it.
2.	Users may refuse consent to the collection and use of required personal information; however, such information is necessary for the provision of services. Therefore, refusal of consent may result in restrictions on exhibition admission and related services.
Consent to Receive Marketing Information (Optional)
This Exhibition operates an electronic business card system for the purpose of providing convenient services to visitors. The electronic business card system is a service that replaces the exchange of physical business cards by transmitting information stored in visitors’ badges to participating exhibitors.
Information collected through the electronic business card system may be used for exhibitors’ marketing purposes.
Visitors have the right to refuse use of the system. However, if a visitor consents to the scanning of their unique barcode by an exhibitor’s barcode reader, such action shall be deemed as consent to the collection and use of personal information. If the visitor refuses scanning, no personal information shall be collected.
Consent to Provision of Personal Information in Relation to COVID-19 and National Emergencies
In the event of COVID-19 outbreaks or national emergencies, users consent to the provision and use of personal information to and by relevant authorities, including but not limited to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA), public health centers, and local governments.
